HISTORY & MANAGEMENT
The Centre is a memorial to Stanley Nairne O.B.E.,
founder of the Scottish Association of Boys Clubs (now
CYP Scotland - formerly Boys and Girls Clubs
of Scotland), North Merchiston Clubs and the
Scottish Schoolboys Club (SSC).
It is managed by people who knew him and admired his pioneering work with
young people.
The Centre is managed by the Stanley Nairne Memorial
Trust and administered for them by the SSC. The SSC is a youth
organisation for 10-18 year-olds which runs summer camps at Struan in
Perthshire. The SSC also use the Stanley Nairne Centre for weekend
camps and SSC volunteer training events.
